Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with pre cardiac cath and port management experience for a night shift assignment requiring an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Telemetry unit setting supporting ED boarders awaiting inpatient beds
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Potential for block scheduling, though not guaranteed
• Uses EPIC EMR system, experience required
• Float requirement between Edgewood and Florence campuses, as well as to Observation, MS, and MS Tele units as needed

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry experience required
• Experience with pre cardiac cath patients and port management required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• COVID vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only) and flu vaccination required

Additional Information

• Support ED boarder patients awaiting inpatient beds, with floating to observation units as needed based on census
• No cafeteria on-site, though a refrigerator and microwave are provided
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Scrubs must be navy blue with no agency or brand logos
• Nails must be less than 1/4 inch in length with natural fingernails required for direct client care; polish is acceptable
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• No RTO permitted from 12/15/2026 through 1/5/2027
• Returning staff must have a break of at least one year from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment to be considered as a traveler
