Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with at least 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency for a Med-Surg/PCU mix unit.

Details

• Med-Surg/PCU mix unit with 9-14 beds
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Mixed acuity general med/surg diagnoses
• RN reads telemetry and titrates limited medications such as heparin
• Skills utilized include EKG, trach care, PCA, wound vac, and feeding tubes as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule 6:45a-7:15p
• Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
• Facilitates patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
• Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts within a Practice Governance framework
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to support patient and family needs
