Day/Eve/Night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Position Overview

The Level II Registered Nurse is accountable for providing competent care based on established standards. This role includes responsibilities under the direction of the Nurse Manager, with opportunities for professional development, service excellence, and research and evidence-based practice. The Registered Nurse may assume expanded responsibilities including charge nurse roles, preceptorship, and committee membership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the neuromusculoskeletal unit, adhering to established standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry monitoring.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and recovery processes.
• Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in nursing care.

Requirements

• New York State Registered Nurse (NYS RN) license.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of two years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS).
