Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring PA or Compact licensure and 2 years of telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac drip management
• 1 supervisory reference within the past year required for consideration
• Completion of PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance required
• Completion of lab work required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Care for patients with cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological, and renal conditions
• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue or white
• Candidates must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine registration within 48 hours of signing a contract
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Any previous permanent or per diem employment with the health system must be disclosed, and candidates must have been away for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
