Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in independence, Missouri.
Travel ICU RN assignment, 91-week contract, 36 hours per week guaranteed, 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, first to float, primarily medical ICU patients, 8-bed ICU, typical ratio 1:1-2, Cerner EMR, bedside report, telemetry with EKG interpretation, ventilator patients, hospitalist or intensivist in-house, 24/7 RT and pharmacy, nurse aides based on census and staffing, charge nurse generally does not take patients but provides break relief, 1-2 days of floor orientation with preceptor, self-scheduling with manager approval, OT and extra shifts available, block scheduling generally not available, navy scrubs required with navy, white, or black undershirts and optional navy scrub jacket, expected to float to sister Sacramento facilities and potentially MedSurg at Woodland, mid-shift facility float is rare but possible, hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
Required: ACLS certification, experience recovering post-cath patients with no sheath removal, experience with pacemaker placement patients, stroke patient experience, experience managing amiodarone drips and Cardizem drips, willingness to float to other telemetry departments, Med-Surg, and PCU, willingness to work required weekend rotation. Preferred: NIH certification. RN scrub color is grey.
