Compunnel Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Hazel Crest, Illinois.

• Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Observation, Post cardiac cath (radial and femoral), appendectomies, colectomies, CHF, PNA, Sepsis, Abdominal pain, COVID
• Skills required
• Read/interpret strips, Cardiac drips (non-titrating), MSU skillset, wound care, IV Starts
• Patient Ratios:
• RN 1:5-6 (days/nights) – This can be acuity based, if they have acute patients it may be less
• CNA 1: 10-12 (day/nights)
• Required Certifications:
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Support on the Unit:
• Charge nurse: rarely
• Phlebotomy? Yes
• IV/VAT Team available for hard sticks, PICC lines, midlines, etc.
• Resource Nurse: is available at night and floats between units
• Centralized tele monitor with tele tech
• RT in house
• Hospitalist in house
• OT, PT, ST during the week
• Charting System/Equipment:
• EPIC
• Pyxis
• Alaris
• Floating:
• To other MSU/Tele floors, traveler’s first
• Orientation:
• They will start on a Monday; have a couple hours with the educator gaining access, doing modules, etc. They will then get at least a 12hr shift on the unit.
• Scheduling:
• Weekend rotation: Every other
• Can we approve time off? Yes, up to one week
