Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160–$2,270

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, in hand at the time of application
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in telemetry, cardiac nursing, or cardiac/pulmonary care
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Strong cardiac rhythm monitoring, patient assessment, clinical prioritization, and communication skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a cardiac and pulmonary telemetry setting
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly escalate significant findings
• Administer medications and treatments safely while evaluating patient response
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, technicians, patients, and families to coordinate individualized patient care
• Prioritize care for an assignment of approximately five to six patients while maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Support a safe, respectful, and team-oriented environment on every shift
