Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry with acute inpatient tele experience for a night shift position requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 35-bed acute specialty unit
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Patient population includes ortho, oncology overflow, and bariatric patients with diagnoses such as ortho, sickle cell, and pancreatitis
• Medications administered include general meds, heparin, and protonix drips
• Skills utilized include traction, EKG, PCA, and feeding tubes
• RN expected to read telemetry
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am
• 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required
• Acute inpatient tele RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and coordinates patient/family education
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may serve as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
