Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Full-time schedule: 36 hours/week
Every 3rd weekend
Rotating holiday schedule
⚕️ Patient Ratios
AM: 1:3 or 1:4
PM: 1:4 or 1:5
Ratios may be supported by patient care technicians, although the unit typically operates with RN-based care and no techs.

BLS
ACLS
Advanced assessment skills
Strong critical-thinking skills
Vasoactive drip management
Telemetry/ cardiac monitoring experience

BiPAP
Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannula
Alaris IV pumps
Kangaroo feeding pumps
New cardiac monitors allowing visualization of cardiac rhythm in each room

Floating
Travelers may float to Med-Surg units.
Floating is part of the staffing model:
FT/PT staff float based on rotation.
Bonus shifts float first.
PRN staff have specified floating requirements.
