Telemetry Technician – Night Shift
Location:  New York, NY 10029
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 34.5 hours/week
Local Pay Rate: $42/hr on W2 (Without benefits)

Provide advanced ECG monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation. The Telemetry Technician will identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during codes, perform continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, troubleshoot monitoring problems, and appropriately respond to all monitor alarms.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Telemetry Technician in a hospital setting
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
• Dysrhythmia Course
• Telemetry Technician Certification
• MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement.
• Communicate appropriately with charge nurses, coworkers, and physicians.
• Enter and verify orders in the computer system.
• Retrieve laboratory results and bring them to the attention of the charge nurse.
• Ensure documentation meets current standards and organizational policies.
• Manage and operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.
