Role: Travel Test Drivers (road marking data capture)
Project based out of Michigan

The numbers

• 3 to 5 drivers needed
• 100% travel
• Duration 4 to 8 weeks, with potential to extend
• Pay rate: 19 USD/hr to the driver
• 60 hours per week
• 50 USD per diem
• Immediate start

Source nationally. Candidates do not need to be in Michigan. Initiate with Michigan but expand quickly. Formel D flies them out to the location and books flights and hotel, so recruit from anywhere in the US. Do not restrict the search geographically.

What the role actually involves 

• The client will fly employees to their assigned location.

• Upon arrival, experienced drivers will provide on-site training before employees begin working independently.

• Each employee will be assigned a vehicle and specific routes, with the objective of capturing road markings.

• At the end of each shift, employees return to their hotel and continue driving their assigned routes the following day.

• Once all routes in a city have been completed, they travel to the next assigned city.

• Flights and hotel accommodations are booked and paid for by the client.

Screening essentials

• Valid US driving licence with a clean driving record
• Legal right to work in the US
• Genuinely comfortable with 100% travel and being away from home for four to eight weeks
• Able to handle long driving shifts at 60 hours per week
• Available to deploy at short notice
• Assume a background check and possible drug screen given it is an automotive client, so screen out anyone who would not clear one

Sell the earnings clearly to reduce drop-offs
At 60 hours a week the base is around 1,140 USD gross per week, plus 50 USD per day per diem, with flights and hotel fully covered.
