Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit Trauma, located in Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill surgical, medical, and trauma patients in a Level One Trauma Center. The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and involvement in evidence-based therapies and research to enhance patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend and some holidays. The unit can consider 4x12 shifts if the traveler is interested.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license; at least 2 years of ICU experience within the last 3 years; current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; minimum of 2 years of ICU trauma experience; ability to perform Telemetry test prior to start; experience managing arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilated patients, central lines, IV sedation, and other critical care procedures; and pass/fail telemetry interpretation testing with specific criteria.
• Schedule: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a fast-paced 24-bed ICU caring for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, ECMO, sepsis, liver transplant, and vascular trauma. The unit has interdisciplinary support including respiratory, radiology, and social services, and utilizes advanced life support therapies including ECMO and continuous dialysis. Travelers are required to float as needed.
