Join a leading acute-care hospital in Omaha, NE, as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, specialty medical/surgical unit providing care to trauma patients. The focus is on both acute and chronic needs for patients who are hemodynamically and medically stable.

This 45-bed medical/surgical unit is known for its dynamic environment, where RNs are expected to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital. The nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare instances of 1:7 at night depending on staffing. It is essential that candidates have at least 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital setting, and BLS certification is required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing care for trauma patients admitted from the emergency department, ICU, or surgical services.
• Utilizing EPIC charting for patient documentation.
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, which may include various units such as 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, and more.

Additional details:

• 100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
• RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted, must be submitted with application.
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Locals Accepted: No (must be more than 100 miles from the facility).
• Pending license accepted, but must be in hand at the time of submission for booking.
• Mandatory scrubs: Steele gray scrubs with the facility logo.
• Parking: Options available for monthly permits or daily rates.
