Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Triage RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department, requiring 6+ years of ED experience and current triage training.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art 44-bed unit spanning over 45,000 square feet
• Unit includes an imaging suite, pharmacy, fast-track area, behavioral health suite, private treatment rooms, and family consultation spaces
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required along with 2 holiday shifts
• Uses Epic EMR for patient assessment, documentation, and medication administration
• No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 6 years of nursing experience required for triage role consideration
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Must be triage trained with current or very recent triage experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months prior to consideration (perm, per diem, or contract)

Additional Information

• Provide triage and emergency nursing care to patients experiencing accidents or medical emergencies requiring immediate attention
• Excessive time off requests will not be considered, particularly around the holidays
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted for this position
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (plus booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Pass/Fail Tele/ECG and Medication testing may be required depending on campus assignment
