Travel Ultrasound Tech - $1,863 per week in Atlantis, FL

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years hospital experience as an Ultrasound Tech License: Required certifications include BLS, RDMS, and RVT Certifications: ACLS preferred, but not required Description: Heavy call required. The unit has a total of 4 beds and 4 scanners. There are 4 techs working 24 hours a day in 12-hour shifts. Patient ratios are 1:1. The equipment used includes GE, 1.5, Discovery 450, X-Ray, MRI, and CT machines. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Candidates must operate equipment that utilizes sound waves to create images of the body’s internal structures. They will create pictures of bones, organs, and tissues to contribute to accurate assessments. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate critical thinking skills and adaptability. Flexibility in scheduling is crucial, as weekend and night shifts are required. Work independence is a must, with a focus on being able to adapt to changing situations. The dress code requires gray scrubs for Ultrasound Techs. The facility is a 472-bed acute care medical/surgical facility specializing in various medical services. This position was created as a contractor replacement.
