Job Title: Ultrasound Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year with EPIC License: BLS, ARDMS Certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS PS, ARDMS RVT Must-Have: Pediatric and Transplant experience Description: This position involves working the night shift from Monday to Thursday. The hours are from 20:00 to 06:00. The role requires experience with pediatric emergent cases, including appendicitis, pylorus stenosis, intussusception, and torsion. Occasional hip effusion cases may also be encountered. Candidates must have experience in a pediatric transplant program with kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. Experience with TIPS from the ER is also required. The job involves performing neonatal head ultrasounds in the NICU and occasional breast ultrasounds. Obstetric ultrasounds are primarily first trimester cases, with occasional limited exams for uncertain dates and ovarian torsion/ectopic concerns. Candidates will not be expected to perform ultrasound-guided needle procedures. Special procedures may include paracentesis, although these are rare. Familiarity with GE E10 ultrasound equipment and GE portable units is essential. High-level disinfection of equipment using Trophon 2 is required. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates must have experience in an emergency department setting and must float to other units as necessary.
