Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty License: Active Compact or State License required Certifications: ARDMS, AHA BLS Must-Have: - ARDMS certification - AHA BLS certification - 2 years of experience in specialty Description: This position requires an experienced Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations. The shift is Friday through Sunday, working from 12 PM to 12 AM. There are no on-call requirements for this role. Preferred experience includes Vascular and General ultrasound. Familiarity with GE ultrasound equipment is preferred. Patient age groups range from infants to geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 14 patients. The technician will be expected to work with a patient ratio of 1:1. All candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered for this position. Travelers must be willing to accept a schedule of 84 hours every two weeks, alternating between 3x12-hour shifts one week and 4x12-hour shifts the next. It is necessary to work either a major or minor holiday. Two professional references are required from previous supervisors. Background check issues must be disclosed up front. This position supports interdisciplinary care, including collaboration with various healthcare teams. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to hospital policies. Experience with charting systems such as Meditech is preferred. Technicians are expected to follow proper isolation precautions and personal protective equipment protocols.
