Join the team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians to evaluate and treat emergency department patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) in sonography required.
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience required. Preferred: prior emergency department or freestanding ED experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to perform general ED ultrasound imaging. Candidate must be willing to perform ancillary tasks when not scanning, including taking vital signs, rooming patients, assisting with lines and labs, and patient sitting as needed.
- Experience or willingness to assist with patient transport and support DX/CT when department is busy.
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred. Experience with PACS (Philips iSite) and Siemens Sequoia equipment is preferred.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital (freestanding emergency department).
- Shift: Nights. Shift hours: 1900-0700.
- Schedule pattern: 3x12 night shifts.
- Standard hours per week: 36.
- Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
- Floating: Night shift sonographer supports ultrasound coverage at additional regional FSED locations as needed.
- Orientation: Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) — 1 day; departmental orientation 2 days to 1 week as needed.
