Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Days Hours per Shift: Variable days 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not required for submission Certifications: BLS, ARDMS (RDMS or RVT preferred) Must-Have: Strong General and Client experience; Vascular experience preferred Description: The department consists of 4 scanners/rooms. No floating to other areas is required. Common imaging studies performed include General, Client, and Vascular procedures, as well as drains and biopsies. On average, clinicians perform 8-10 scans/studies per day, sometimes more. The department utilizes EMR and PACS software from Fuji EPIC. Department-specific equipment includes Philips imaging devices. There is a radiologist in-house, except during on-call hours. Starting IVs is not a requirement for this position. Schedules consist of 4 ten-hour shifts with weekend requirements of once every third weekend. Holiday work may be required if needed. Call is expected 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend. Scrubs are provided in a professional color. Department-specific orientation will be conducted. The cancellation policy allows for shifts to be canceled under specific conditions. Charting is managed through the EPIC system.
