Job Title: Registered Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Ultrasound Tech - General Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 Experience: Minimum of 1 year related experience as a Sonographer License: Must hold a relevant license Certifications: ARDMS, ARRT, and current CPR Must-Have: Graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program Primary Source Verification: Original Transcripts and certification Description: The Registered Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for providing quality imaging of patients. This imaging aids in the diagnosis and continuum of care for patients. The technologist assists Radiologists with exams. The role involves Monday to Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On-call rotation is required with a response time within 30 minutes. The physical demands include effective communication and problem-solving skills. Technologists must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. The position requires handling stressful situations with efficiency and composure. The technologist must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. They are expected to perform Sonography exams in various departments. It is essential to work alongside a multidisciplinary team. Patient demographics include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily averages reflect a significant patient census. Responsibilities may include various special procedures. Experience with Siemens ultrasound equipment is preferred.
