Key Responsibilities of the Cardiac Sonographer
Conduct advanced cardiac diagnostics including TTE, Stress Echo, and Dobutamine Stress Echo studies
Utilize Ultrasound Enhancement Agents (UEA, such as Definity/Optison)
Perform advanced imaging in accordance with ASE/IAC Echo guidelines
Conduct LV Global Strain, 3D, HOCM, and Agitated Saline Contrast studies
Requirements of the Cardiac Sonographer
BLS certification
Possession of RCS, RDCS, or ACS certification (only one is required)
Minimum 2 years of experience
Proficiency in TTE/Stress Echo
