Travel Ultrasound Tech - $2,427 per week in Leesburg, VA

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Healthcare Specialty: Non-Fairfax Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) Experience: Minimum 3-5 years License: Must be registered Certifications: BLS, Sonographer, ARDMS or RDMS certification required (minimum 1 RDMS and/or RVT) Must-Have: Must be independent and able to perform all types of studies conducted in the department. Pediatric experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of Samsung US equipment and EPIC is a plus. Positive and hard-working mindset is essential. Description: Certifications required include BLS and Sonographer. Candidates must be registered and have a minimum of three to five years of experience. Black scrubs are required. Common types of imaging/studies performed include abdominal ultrasound, kidney/bladder, thyroid, testicular, female pelvis TA/TV, and early OB TA/TV. Late OB studies (biometrics, BPP) are conducted, with no anatomy studies on weekends. DVT studies of arms and legs, carotid ultrasound, and pediatric (appendix, intussusception, pyloric stenosis) are also performed. Lump and bump examinations and hernia studies are included. Technologists may cover Emergency Room services. The department averages 10-16 scans/studies per day with a 12-hour shift. The department uses EPIC for EMR and Visage for PACS. The department is equipped with GE and Samsung ultrasound machines. Supervision in the department is provided by a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech. No Registered Radiology Assistants are utilized. Weekend techs mainly work in the hospital and may cover ER shifts. Floating between locations is not required. There are no on-call expectations or holiday requirements unless scheduled.
