Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: RDMS, RVT or RVS preferred Certifications: ARDMS, RVT or RVS preferred Must-Have: Well-rounded in exams, with a strong focus on vascular scans Description: Client is licensed for 815 beds. It has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals from 2020-2023, identifying the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for clinical quality. The hospital has received an A grade from Leapfrog for achievements in patient safety. It earned the Magnet Designation in 2020, the highest international honor for nursing excellence. The facility serves as a referral center for trauma, stroke, and neonatal intensive care. It includes a pediatric emergency room and a comprehensive pediatric services program. The hospital features a robust robotic surgery program and offers open heart and interventional cardiology services. Unit specifics include scrub colors of black. The unit has a mix of day and night sonographers, ensuring coverage during all shifts. Type of equipment used includes Logiq E9, Logic E10, Dolphin TCD Machine, and Parks-ABI machine. The documentation system is Cerner and PACS. The sonographer will perform a variety of exams including vascular scans, pediatrics, general, and assist with invasive procedures. Advanced skills in vascular scans are required, including carotids, venous and arterial evaluations, vascular abdomen, renal artery assessments, and vein mapping.
