Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours (20:00 - 06:30) Experience: 2 years of pediatric ultrasound experience preferred License: South Carolina state ultrasound licensure is not required Certifications: BLS, ARDMS or ARRT certification required Must-Have: - Experience in dedicated pediatric ultrasound procedures - NEC and TCD experience - Experience with spines, liver Doppler (all vessels), renal Doppler, and extremity venous Doppler - Knowledge of intussusception, pyloric stenosis, appendix, and neonatal heads Description: This position is for an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in pediatrics. The daily caseload will vary. The shift consists of four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with a potential need for flexibility to work additional days. Call is not required for this position. Travel between various buildings on campus is not necessary, as this role is in-house. Preferred experience includes pediatric hospital experience, specifically with liver transplants. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on organizational policies. The facility allows for one call-off per two weeks. The position is in a teaching hospital setting with a total of 865 staffed beds. Scrub colors are teal tops with black bottoms. Charting is done via the Epic system. Candidates must be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year, with peak months in August and September. It is essential that candidates complete all compliance-related requirements promptly to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
