Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Must have valid license prior to start date. Certifications: BLS, RDMS Must-Have: MUST have extensive knowledge in liver and kidney Doppler due to the liver/kidney transplant population. Description: Call requirement is 1 day a week and every 4th or 5th weekend from Saturday 7 AM to Sunday 7 AM and Sunday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM. Day shift Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. First-time travelers are accepted. In the event of call-ins, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period if working 0.9 FTE. For 0.9 FTE travelers who cannot make up the shift, the missed shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract. For 1.2 FTE travelers, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract. High volume of venous Doppler (arms and legs), liver biopsies, and neck/thyroid fine-needle aspiration. Understanding of high-volume procedures is essential as the population served includes liver and kidney transplant patients. Floating is required within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidate must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Consecutive contract policies require designated breaks for travelers who have accrued travel employment. All travelers are required to have two supervisor references. Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is 100% necessary.
