Key Responsibilities of the Ultrasound Technologist

• Performing thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNAs, and various biopsies including liver, renal, and soft tissue masses
• Conducting OR procedures such as breast needle placements and prostate biopsies
• Accurately identifying normal vs. abnormal sonographic findings
• Collaborating with medical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Documenting examinations and maintaining patient records

Requirements of the Ultrasound Technologist

• Must possess BLS, RDMS, and NH MIRT Licensure
• At least one year of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with an ability to recognize abnormal findings
• Exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography
• Preferred additional certifications: RVT, OB-GYN, AB
