Description:
In the Client-Fetal Medicine Sonographer role, your responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters.
You will perform first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments.
Additionally, you will conduct detailed second and third trimester anatomic assessments.
Fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound will also be part of your duties.
You will work directly and exclusively with perinatologists in a high-quality independent fetal imaging center.
This role will allow you to provide excellent ultrasound service while enhancing your skills and obtaining additional certifications if needed.
Protocols will adhere to standards established by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
You will check equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notify appropriate personnel for repairs.
Your duties will include evaluating patient history and symptoms for the procedures and communicating with patients in a professional manner.
You will instruct and communicate with patients and/or their families regarding the tests to be performed.
It is essential to assess the patient’s ability to tolerate the exam.
You must maintain current knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care for all age groups.
Assisting the physician in performing additional imaging or biopsy procedures may be required.
You are expected to exhibit proficiency in Client-Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technician competencies.
Utilizing technical knowledge and skills to perform procedures accurately and in a timely manner is crucial.
Completion of exam charges and image documentation must be forwarded to the radiologist promptly.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
