Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Imaging Specialty: General Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ARMDS-OB, RVT, or ABD Must-Have: Experience with general vascular and OB is required Candidate should have trauma experience Description: This is an opportunity for an Ultrasound Technologist in a general imaging setting. The facility is a Level IV trauma center with a Level III NICU and an advanced comprehensive stroke center. It serves as a teaching hospital with a total of 228 beds. The unit has 3 general rooms, 1 vascular room, and 1 emergency department room. The average daily case load is between 6 to 14 patients per technologist. Patient types include general, vascular, and OB, as well as neonatal heads and abdomen and liver duplex studies. There will be support from other sonographers, radiologic technologists available 24/7, and a lead sonographer. Rapid response and code teams are available. A manager or supervisor will be present during weekdays. The charting system used is EMR: EPIC, with medication dispensing through Pyxis and PACS through Change Healthcare. The equipment available includes Logic E9, Logic E10, Parksflow, and GE scanners. Floating may involve providing bedside portable ultrasound throughout the healthcare facility. The schedule will primarily be set with a weekend rotation based on department needs. Holiday expectations include working if a scheduled day falls on a holiday. Scrub colors are flexible, but denim and camo are not allowed.
