Job Description & Requirements
Sonographer - Pedi Echo - (SONO - Pedi Echo)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $3208.00 - $3306.00

This temporary Pediatric Echo Tech opportunity is located in sunny Miami, Florida, a dynamic coastal city known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant cultural scene, and family-friendly attractions. Miami offers year-round warm weather, a thriving restaurant and nightlife scene, and easy access to outdoor recreation including swimming, boating, and waterfront parks. From South Beach’s iconic shoreline to the diverse neighborhoods rich in Latin and Caribbean influences, you will find endless options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Families enjoy nearby destinations such as the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Miami Children’s Museum, as well as a full calendar of festivals, sporting events, and arts performances. The assignment is a 13-week, full-time, day-shift position with a guaranteed 40-hour work week. Typical hours are 07:30 to 16:00, scheduled as five 8-hour shifts per week. In addition to core day-shift responsibilities, the Pediatric Echo Tech participates in an on-call rotation Monday through Sunday every third week, supporting urgent and emergent studies as needed. This structure allows for predictable scheduling while still offering exposure to a wide variety of pediatric cases. You will be working within a modern healthcare environment that uses Philips echocardiography equipment and Cerner as the Electronic Medical Record system. The role may include coverage at more than one facility location within the organization, providing variety in clinical settings and team interactions while keeping your practice within the same metropolitan area. This multi-site exposure can be an excellent resume builder, demonstrating adaptability and experience with different pediatric care teams. As a Pediatric Echo Tech, you will perform high-quality echocardiographic studies on a diverse pediatric population, from neonates to adolescents. Responsibilities include completing comprehensive and targeted echocardiograms, optimizing image acquisition, and working closely with pediatric cardiologists to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. You may encounter a broad range of pathology, including complex congenital heart disease, which offers valuable clinical experience in a specialized field. Your typical day will involve coordinating studies with pediatric cardiology providers, communicating with nursing and ancillary staff, preparing patients and families for procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation within Cerner. You will be expected to maintain high standards of patient safety, infection prevention, and image quality, as well as to demonstrate a calm, compassionate approach when working with children and their families. The team environment emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and mutual support. Working alongside experienced pediatric cardiology professionals, you will have the opportunity to refine your specialized skills, gain exposure to advanced pediatric imaging protocols, and contribute to meaningful, family-centered care. The combination of a supportive clinical team, modern equipment, and the vibrant lifestyle of Miami makes this assignment appealing for experienced Pediatric Echo Techs seeking both professional growth and an enjoyable location.
