Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Ultrasound Technologist, Reg Specialty: - Duration: 9 Months Shift: 8AM - 4PM Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: 2+ Years as Ultrasound Technologist License: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certifications: ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), BLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Knowledge of office and administrative practices - Skill in use of personal computers and software - Ability to problem solve and make decisions - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion Description: The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations. They render technical assistance to the Radiologist. They maintain and care for all ultrasound equipment. The technologist prepares and examines all patients for ultrasound examinations. This is in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques. They operate and adjust ultrasound equipment. Safety precautions are taken to protect patients and personnel from hazards. The technologist sets up, operates, cleans, and makes minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment. They ensure adequate supplies are available for use. They assist in the orientation and mentorship of new ultrasound personnel. Images are captured onto PACS and transferred to physicians' work stations. The technologist answers telephones, schedules examinations, and may initiate transportation. Other duties may be required as necessary.
