Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of experience for a general ultrasound role in a community hospital setting.

Details

• General ultrasound unit in a community hospital setting
• Adult patient population with 1:1 patient ratio
• Work settings include Emergency Department, portables, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN, and renal/pelvis studies
• Procedures may include paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment
• Day shift schedules available: 5x8 hours 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Call requirement only if permanent staff do not pick up shifts, potentially one weekend (24 hrs)/month and a few 6p-6a shifts per schedule

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in abdomen, abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, breast, vascular studies (aorta, carotid, duplex, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous), renal/pelvis, transvaginal, uterus, small parts, thyroid, and fetal anatomical survey
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general and specialized ultrasound exams across abdominal, vascular, small parts, renal/pelvis, and OB/GYN studies
• Support pediatric and adult patient populations
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holidays observed include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Returning staff/travelers must have a separation period before reapplying
