The role requires providing mobile ultrasound services. Majority of work activities are performed in various nursing homes, home care facilities, and prisons. Travel to locations in an automobile may be required. Responsibilities include logging in for self-dispatching or calling the dispatch department for information regarding the case load. Arrival at the first case at the assigned shift start time is necessary. Unloading and taking portable sonographic equipment into facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician is essential. Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Process ultrasounds using portable equipment and digitally send them for interpretation. Check voicemail from each client facility upon completion of assigned cases. Check for available cases via the self-dispatching system and communicate with the dispatcher regularly. Wear the company uniform and provided name tag, following the dress code. Carry the provided phone for communication. Respond to all urgent communications promptly. Attend required meetings. Verify all orders for accuracy against the patient's chart before completing exams. Ensure the correct patient is identified using two identifiers, such as name and date of birth. Facility staff are responsible for conducting required patient transfers and support. Sonographers must have medical examinations and screenings at the time of hire and annually. Document results must be provided to the Human Resources Department within two weeks. Scan exam-related paperwork daily per protocol. Communicate efficiently and perform professionally with staff and clients. Maintain vehicle and sonographic equipment. Maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times. Self-motivated to increase understanding and knowledge of the field. Responsible for paying all motor vehicle tickets for company-owned vehicles. Substance abuse and possession of weapons are prohibited. Professionally conduct oneself according to company policies. Care for equipment in a professional manner, and report malfunctions immediately. Train other technologists as required. Dependable and able to work independently with little supervision. Possess basic smartphone and computer skills. Knowledge of applicable regions, geography, and travel routes is necessary. Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills.
