Job Title

Ultrasound Technologist – Echo / Ultrasound / Sonographer

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift | 4x10 Hours | Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM | On-call rotation required on weekends

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department ultrasound examinations with an approximate daily caseload of 15 studies per technologist
  • Conduct general abdominal, OB, small parts, renal, and vascular ultrasound scans
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment and assist with ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Utilize PACS for image acquisition, storage, and retrieval
  • Participate in an on-call rotation covering weekend shifts when a full-time technologist is unavailable (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  • Adhere to facility protocols including proper use of a radiation monitoring badge at all times
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience
  • Active BLS certification required
  • Active ARRT (S) or ARDMS national certification required
  • Radiation monitoring badge required — must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to start
  • Proficiency with PACS, portable ultrasound equipment, and ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Ability to scan general abdomen, OB, small parts, kidneys, and vascular structures
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a Level II Trauma center environment
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
  • Experience managing high-volume, mixed-acuity caseloads across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
