Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Ultrasound Technologist with at least 6 months of experience in an acute care setting to work overnight shifts independently.

Details

• Hospital-based Ultrasound department
• Unit staffed by 4 day shift Ultrasound Techs and 1 overnight Ultrasound Tech
• Overnight shift is staffed by a lone sonographer working independently
• 13-week travel assignment
• Shift is 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
• Patient ratios vary based on requests
• Uses GE LOGIC 10 ultrasound equipment
• Meditech EMR
• Typical procedures include Abdomen, OB First Trimester, GYN (TA/TV), UEV, LEV, UEA, LEA, Liver Transplant, Kidney Transplant, Abdominal Dopplers, and Renal Dopplers

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience as an Ultrasound Tech, preferably in an acute care setting
• Active CO license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (VS) or RVT certification required
• Pediatric experience (Neonatal Heads, Appendix, Intussusception, NICU/PICU) preferred
• Transplant experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently in a lone-sonographer overnight setting

• Performs a variety of abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and transplant-related ultrasound studies
• Will be trained on the unit's Trophon policy during onboarding
• Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 50-mile radius
