Job Summary:
The specialty of Ultrasonographer Echocardiography Technician is based in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. This position involves performing diagnostic echocardiography studies in a community-focused critical access hospital setting. The role provides the opportunity to utilize advanced cardiac imaging technology, collaborate with cardiologists and care teams, and contribute to delivering compassionate, patient-centered cardiac care in the Northeast Kingdom region.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift with 8 hours per day and a minimum of 32 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program; registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or registered cardiac sonographer (RCS) through CCI; current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; minimum of one year of echocardiography experience; travel experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication and patient care skills; strong organizational and computer skills; ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and care teams; strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional patient experiences.
  • Additional Information: The position involves performing high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies following departmental protocols. Candidates will produce accurate cardiac measurements and images for interpretation, evaluate patient history, recognize abnormalities, and communicate findings promptly. The start date is 09/16/2026, with travelers beginning on Wednesdays, and during orientation week, the guaranteed hours may be adjusted due to midweek start.
