Job Summary
The Ultrasonographer Echo position is located in a healthcare organization specializing in advanced cardiac imaging. The role involves performing 2-dimensional, color Doppler, and Doppler echocardiograms of the heart. The technician will interpret and analyze test performance and results, including stress and dobutamine echocardiograms, requiring a high level of technical expertise and proficiency in non-imaging continuous Doppler. Candidates must have mastered all phases of echocardiography to accurately diagnose conditions such as wall motion abnormalities, left ventricular regional wall abnormalities, pericardial and pleural effusions, stenotic and regurgitant lesions, and congenital abnormalities. The technician will review clinical history, explain procedures to patients, and ensure precise documentation and reporting of exam results.

Job Details

  • Location: Boston, MA, 75 Francis Street, United States
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in echocardiography, current state license if applicable, Bachelors degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, at least 1 year of experience performing cardiac ultrasound procedures, ability to review clinical histories, and proficiency in interpretive test analysis
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stress and dobutamine echocardiograms, proficiency in interpreting complex cardiac pathologies, familiarity with ancillary devices such as video recorders and transducers, excellent patient communication skills
  • Additional Information: The role requires the ability to perform multiple portable studies daily, mobilizing equipment as needed, maintaining clean and organized testing environments, and ensuring accurate review and recording of test results. The technician will be responsible for cleaning equipment, disposing of soiled linens, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment reliability.
