Job Summary:
The procedure-based ultrasound specialty is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasonographer Echo in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves performing cardiovascular (echo/vascular) sonography at multiple facilities within the organization. The candidate must have prior travel experience and possess technical expertise with echocardiography, including GE equipment and EKG as a plus. The position offers a flexible schedule with day shifts and rotating weekends, holidays, and call duties.

Job Details:

• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
• Schedule: 8-hour days; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with rotating weekends, holidays, and call at Lynchburg General Hospital. Weekends occur approximately every 5th weekend. The assignment ends on Saturday.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Prior travel experience for all Centra positions
  • Two years of experience in a similar cardiovascular ultrasound setting
  • Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification
  • Proficiency in echocardiography skills with GE equipment and EKG knowledge is a plus
• Additional Information:
  • Must be prepared to float between Lynchburg facilities and cardiology offices; travel distance roughly one mile between locations
  • All rotations and assignments are subject to cancellation up to 24 hours prior to start
  • Candidates must be pre-approved and have all required credentials submitted at the time of application
