Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Ultrasonographer with a specialty in Echo to work in a healthcare environment located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, supporting cardiac imaging services, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. The role is scheduled for day shifts and offers an opportunity to contribute to departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement activities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; two-year allied health education program related to patient care; A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation; State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License; BLS certification issued through American Heart Association; ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate strong organizational skills, work collaboratively, and perform echocardiograms with manual dexterity.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of actively performing echocardiograms are preferred.
- Additional Information: Performs technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams; coordinates activities with hospital departments; assists cardiologists during exams; manages supplies and equipment; maintains patient records and participates in quality improvement initiatives; responds appropriately to patient needs; shares responsibility for on-call emergency exams; maintains equipment quality control; stays current with advances in echocardiography; collaborates with cardiologists regarding new skills and knowledge; assists with other cardiac procedures as needed.
