Job Summary:
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure. Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures, including TAVR TTE scanning for pre-TAVR treatment patients with critical aortic stenosis. Review prior reports, images, and patient charts to ensure comprehensive studies. Maintain accurate records and logs of exams performed. Manage inventory and supplies for the assigned area. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced Sonographer with proficiency in performing high-quality Adult Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines.
• Minimum of 200 documented inpatient cases in echocardiography.
• Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond to critical findings.
• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from AHA.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• TEE and Stress Echo experience.
• Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
• Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols.
• Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.
• Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
• Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.
• Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.

Additional Information:

• Only candidates with TAVR TTE experience scanning pre-TAVR treatment patients with critical aortic stenosis will be considered.
• Preference for candidates with experience in valve centers or structural heart facilities.
