Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Job Summary:
In this position, the Sonographer performs Ultrasound procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications. Responsibilities include transferring patients for examinations and assisting with the Ultrasound examination process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in general and vascular Ultrasound (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast).
  • Associate’s degree.
  • ARDMS registry certification.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Effective communication skills within a multi-functional team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn relevant applications.

  • None specified.

Additional Information:
  • Responsible for operating Ultrasound imaging equipment appropriately.
  • Educates, positions, and performs Ultrasound procedures while ensuring patient safety.
  • Coordinates examinations to ensure timeliness and quality of patient care.
  • Submits required images and clinical information for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintains department supplies and practices sterile techniques.
  • Handles multiple tasks/projects and meets deadlines effectively.
