Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below                
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Job Summary:
Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The role supports medical staff in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring simple to complex conditions, defects, and diseases.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Graduate of an accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by the ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Associate’s degree or higher.

Additional Information:
 

• Must meet applicant eligibility requirements and published standards for ARDMS in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring department.
• Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, and terminology associated with the primary specialty.
• Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
• Skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, and positioning of patients.
• Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and demonstrate sound judgment.
