Ultrasound Technologist (Travel Contract) – Northern Cheyenne Service Unit
 

Location: Northern Cheyenne Service Unit
Start Date: ASAP (Preferred)
Assignment Length: 3 Months (Preferred) – Up to 1 Year Available
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Approx. 40 Hours/Week)
 

Job Description:
 

The Northern Cheyenne Service Unit is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging services in a rural healthcare setting. The selected candidate will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations while working independently and collaborating with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

This position is ideal for an ultrasound professional who is comfortable working autonomously and has experience with multiple ultrasound modalities.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Complete general ultrasound studies, including:
    • Abdominal  
    • OB/GYN  
    • Vascular  
    • General soft tissue imaging
  • Operate and maintain GE Logic ultrasound equipment.
  • Accurately document patient exams using RPMS EMR.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and image quality.
  • Follow departmental protocols and quality assurance standards.
  • Work independently while communicating effectively with providers and clinical staff.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards. 

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Approximately 40 hours per week
  • No Call Required
  • Independent work environment 

Equipment & EMR

  • Ultrasound Equipment: GE Logic
  • EMR: RPMS 

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS Certification (Required)
  • ARRT Certification (Required)
  • Degree or Certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Real ID Required
  • Completion of Image Wisely and Image Gently training.
  • U.S. Citizen (Required). 

Preferred Experience

  • General Ultrasound
  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • OB/GYN Ultrasound
  • Vascular Ultrasound
  • Experience working independently in a clinical setting 

Assignment Highlights

  • General ultrasound with some vascular and OB studies.
  • No state license required.
  • No on-call responsibilities.
  • 3-month contracts are preferred for faster onboarding, with the option to extend up to one year.
