Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for Maternal Fetal Medicine, requiring ARDMS OB/GYN registration and prior travel experience at a large teaching hospital.

Details

• Maternal Fetal Medicine unit at a large Level 1 trauma facility with 579 beds across 2 campus sites
• Patient population includes OB/GYN, midwifery, and REI patients
• No breast imaging experience required
• Sees up to 8 patients per day (4 mornings, 4 afternoons); twin pregnancy scans count as two patients
• 8-hour day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Weekend coverage on an as-needed basis
• No block scheduling permitted
• 16-week assignment

Requirements

• ARDMS registration with OB/GYN credential required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Large, teaching hospital experience required
• Experience in OB/GYN required, including fetal anatomy scans (routine and detailed), follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA dopplers, 1st trimester scans, pelvic ultrasounds, sonohysterograms, and HyCoSy
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Candidates who primarily scan GYN/early dating OB may be considered if not proficient in MFM scanning
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history details including bed count, EMR system, and facility type required for consideration
• Public transportation is not accessible in the area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
