We are seeking an experienced Vascular Technologist to join its Non-Invasive Cardiology team. This travel opportunity is ideal for a skilled sonographer who is passionate about providing high-quality vascular diagnostic services in a collaborative hospital environment.

Assignment Details
  • Start Date: August 17, 2026
  • Assignment Length: 13 Weeks with possible extension
  • Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 36 Hours per Week
  • Full-Time Travel Assignment
  • Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Job Responsibilities

As a Vascular Technologist, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive non-invasive vascular diagnostic examinations
  • Obtain patient vascular history and perform assessments prior to testing
  • Verify physician orders and determine the appropriate vascular study
  • Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols
  • Evaluate vascular anatomy, physiology, and blood flow
  • Perform and interpret duplex imaging studies
  • Recognize technical artifacts and optimize imaging quality
  • Identify and document normal and abnormal vascular findings
  • Monitor patient condition throughout examinations and report critical findings promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Educate patients regarding vascular procedures and testing
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with advances in vascular diagnostic technology and accreditation requirements
Required Clinical Experience

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Duplex imaging
  • Lower extremity venous studies
  • Lower extremity arterial studies
  • Carotid ultrasound
  • Upper extremity arterial and venous imaging
  • Visceral vascular imaging
  • Vascular physiology and morphology assessment
  • Recognition of vascular pathology and pathophysiology
  • Technical artifact identification and correction
  • Patient assessment and documentation
