Job Title: Vascular Sonographer Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not required Certifications: BLS; ARDMS RVT Registered Vascular Technologist OR CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) Must-Have: EPIC experience; Dedicated vascular ultrasound experience; Registered Vascular Technologist or CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) Description: Vascular Sonographer position available in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Caring for patients of all ages. Daily patient volume typically ranges from 8 to 12. Common diagnoses include PVD, CAD, HF, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal/celiac/SMA stenosis, renal transplant, TOS. Candidates should have experience performing various vascular ultrasound assessments such as carotid, upper/lower arterial, venous, DVT/reflux, and vein mapping. Additional skills required involve renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft, aorta assessments, upper/lower PVR, and segmental pressures. Experience with hemodialysis grafts and arterial bypass grafts is also necessary. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is mandatory. Department culture emphasizes teamwork and is friendly towards travelers.
