Experienced Wound Care RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Clinton, MD. Join an acute care team providing expert wound, skin, and ostomy care for adult and geriatric patients in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

• Position: Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,780 - $1,870
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5x8 day shifts, with 1 Saturday shift per month
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday as needed
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Location: Clinton, Maryland
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state licensure, as applicable
• 3 years of recent nursing experience required
• Hospital experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• WCC certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• WOCN certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner required
• Strong knowledge of wound care, skin integrity, and ostomy care
• Experience with pressure injuries, HAPI prevention, stage I-IV wounds, wound vacs, and dressing management
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to meet compliance requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and manage wounds, ulcers, and complex skin conditions
• Provide expert nursing care for pressure injuries, chronic wounds, and new ostomy placements
• Perform wound and ulcer assessments, dressing changes, and support debridement-related care
• Utilize wound vacs, advanced wound therapies, and other specialty equipment as indicated
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in Cerner
• Educate patients and families on wound prevention, treatment plans, and self-management strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support healing, safety, and quality outcomes
• Maintain infection prevention standards and promote best practices in skin integrity
• Support weekend, holiday, and occasional Saturday coverage as scheduled
