Job Title: X-Ray Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Preferred License: South Carolina License Required Prior to Start Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: - ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) Required - 1 Year of Experience Preferred - On-call Required Description: Position/Specialty: X-Ray Technician Daily caseload varies per technician. The shift consists of three 12-hour days, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The first week of the contract may involve working weekdays on day shift for orientation. A set schedule begins the following week. This position requires inclusion in the on-call rotation, with a response time within 1 hour if called in. On-call hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekends include both 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts. The clinician may float to other pediatric imaging locations for critical staffing coverage when necessary. Floating to additional buildings on the same campus may be required. Preferred experience includes OR experience and C-arm procedures; additional training will be offered. O-arm experience is preferred but training will be available. Trauma experience is preferred but not required. A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency. The facility does not provide radiation badges. All time off requests must be included at the time of submission and will be approved based on facility needs. During hurricane season, employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Potential candidates should be aware of the hurricane season running from June through November each year. Travelers should ensure they do not confirm new or extended assignments during the hurricane season months. The facility prioritizes non-local candidates. Local candidates will be considered at a lower billing rate. Previous permanent staff, including PRN, must be separated for one year before returning. Modules are non-billable, and an average of 4 hours is spent on modules. Module hours are included in non-billable hours and must be completed pre-start. The facility reports module completion.
