Job Title: Radiology Technician Profession: Radiology Tech Specialty: CT Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certifications: BLS and ARRT - R Must-Have: - High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - Must maintain required hours of continued education - Experience in medical record documentation - Proficiency in clinical protocol review - Familiarity with Radiology Information System (RIS) usage - Experience with PACS image management - Patient care functions experience Description: Under general supervision, the Radiology Technician specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. The technician may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. They are responsible for performing related duties as required. This position offers a block schedule; however, the technician will be required to work weekends. No on-call duties are required. Technologies utilized include GE, OEC C-arms, and Carestream Portables. Preferred skills include infection control practices and intravenous contrast media administration. The technician will also be involved in clinical data review and patient preparation for radiologic procedures.
