Position Summary
Under the
direction of the Radiology Manager and Medical Director, the Radiologic
Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all
ages. Responsibilities include positioning patients, operating radiographic
equipment, producing quality diagnostic images, maintaining patient safety, and
ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.Given
the specialized nature of the position, we need someone who can step into the
OR environment with a strong level of experience and confidence managing
complex orthopedic procedures and C-arm equipment with minimal additional
training.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform a variety of
diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.
Properly position patients
and select appropriate technical factors for imaging procedures.
Operate and maintain
radiographic equipment according to established guidelines.
Review images for quality,
accuracy, and diagnostic value.
Ensure patient safety and
comfort throughout all procedures.
Maintain accurate patient
records and imaging documentation.
Follow radiation safety
standards and infection control practices.
Communicate effectively
with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Support department quality
initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications-Must have 3-5 years of experience within the OR-Must be able to independently support complex Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and General surgery cases-Level 1 trauma experience is required due to the high-acuity surgical environment-Experience with complex surgical cases
Education
High School Diploma or GED
required.
Graduate of an accredited
Radiologic Technology program.
Licensure & Certifications
Current Florida State
Radiologic Technologist License.
ARRT (American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists) Certification.
BLS Certification through
the American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of radiographic
procedures, positioning techniques, and radiation safety.
Ability to operate
diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail
and image quality standards.
Excellent communication
and patient care skills.
Ability to work
efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
