Job Title: Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology Tech Specialty: Ray Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, variable start/end times Hours per Shift: 36 guaranteed hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Certifications: Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible, Healthcare Provider certification (BLS) required Must-Have: - RADIOLOGIC PROCEDURES - RADIOGRAPHIC TECHNIQUES - PATIENT POSITIONING - RADIATION SAFETY PRACTICES - INTRAVENOUS CONTRAST MEDIA ADMINISTRATION - PATIENT CARE FUNCTIONS - PACS IMAGE MANAGEMENT - RADIOLOGY INFORMATION SYSTEM (RIS) Description: Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Performs related duties as required. Resource will work any of these shifts dependent on scheduling needs. Preferred experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting is advantageous. Skills such as willingness to learn, respect for diversity, clinical protocol review, medical record documentation, teamwork, customer service, flexibility, and initiative are essential. Must maintain the required hours of continued education.
